Richard is a dedicated and experienced coach who has lived and played badminton extensively across Asia, including China, Malaysia, and South Korea. Now based in Kent, he competes regularly in the Hastings League. Known for his strong defensive play, Richard is particularly passionate about helping juniors build a solid foundation. His main goal is ensuring every beginner develops the confidence and skills needed to enjoy the game. With many years of coaching experience, including time as a Level 1 coach supporting senior coaches in Londont, Richard founded Blaze to create the kind of club he always wished existed for young players.
Angelina is our mixed doubles specialist and a true expert in technique and tactical play. She was coached by Nelson Oon, a former professional Malaysian player who later became Australia’s number one player. Angelina competes regularly in the North Forland League and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to every session. Over the past few years, she has generously volunteered her time coaching juniors at clubs across Canterbury, Wye, and Ashford. She is known for her clear instruction, patience, and ability to help players significantly improve their technique and game understanding.
Kingsley is a newly qualified Level 1 coach in the UK with over 20 years of playing experience. Having trained under coaches who represented Hong Kong professionally for more than a decade, he possesses a strong technical foundation and a deep understanding of the game. Specialising in men’s and mixed doubles, Kingsley has extensive competitive playing experience. Passionate about player development, he is committed to helping players of all ages and abilities improve their technique, tactical awareness, and enjoyment of the sport. Kingsley looks forward to continuing his coaching journey with Blaze junior badminton club.
